Operation

File the burrs on the fork for a smooth start.
Place the C-421 with its bottom hole onto the fork,
holding the body with both hands.
While depressing the C-421 lightly, turn the
handles clockwise. The thread will be corrected.
If it is hard to turn the C-421, try again after
reversing the handles and cleaning scraps. Add oil
if necessary.

Secure the fork in the work stand or the bench vise, then oil the thread using a
superior quality cutting oil.

If the finished thread refuses to accept head parts,
try again after adjusting the die to be tighter using
the die adjust bolt. The die will be open when the
die adjust bolt is turned clockwise, and tighter when
the die adjust bolt is turned counterclockwise.

Check size of the thread (fork) before use.

Secure the work piece in the work stand or bench vise during operation.

Do not apply excessive force, such as using tubes as extender handles on this tool.

Do not use when cracks, breaks, excessive wear or deformation is found on this tool.
５． Do not remodel the C-421.
６． Lubricate the cutting section periodically.
 Caution
１．
When starting the threading process, first try tightening the die adjust bolt very
firmly (making the slit of the die comparatively wide). Using the tighter die
initially could over-thread the fork.
２．
Carefully apply the C-421 at right angles to the fork.
３．
Continue oiling the threads during work.

