7.5.2 Cleaning the exterior of the combustion chamber and burner cylinder
Warning
!
Chemical burn hazard through cleaning agents.
Safety gloves and eye protection must be worn when using cleaning agents.
Observe the information on the original packaging.
Caution!
The system can be damaged when using incorrect cleaning agents.
Use only cleaning agents approved for gas boilers with aluminium compo-
nents.
Spray on the cleaning agent undiluted.
Open end spanner SW 17, adjustable spanner, screw driver, spray gun
Preparation:
1. Set the main switch on the boiler control unit to “0”.
2. Close the main gas valve.
3. Remove the sound insulation cover.
4. Disconnect all the burner connector plugs.
5. Pull the corrugated hose off the venturi tube on the burner (if present).
6. Remove the front cladding.
Opening the combustion chamber:
7. Loosen the cap nut SW17
8. Lift and turn the burner with the boiler door sideways
(8, fig. 11)
9. Remove the cover on the cleaning aperture (9, fig. 12)
10. Remove the neutralisation box and siphon.

unit.)
