4. Protect the machine against corrosion. For spray coating use only biodegrad-
able oils.
5. Protect the hydraulic cylinder piston rods against corrosion.
6. Relieve the wheels from any load.
7. Completely empty and clean the seed and fertiliser hopper.
8. Reduce the coulter pressure adjustment to relieve the rubber elements.
9. Open the clearing valve.
10. Unplug the terminal and store it in a dry place.
14.4 Lubricating the machine
Ø
Lubricate the machine regularly and after each wash with a suitable grease
gun. This ensures operability and reduces repair costs and downtimes.
CAUTION
Handling lubricants
Lubricants and mineral oil products are no danger to health as long as they are
used as instructed.
Ø
Avoid prolonged skin contact or the inhalation of vapours.
Ø Avoid direct contact with oils. Use gloves or protective creams.
Ø
Thoroughly clean any oil traces on the skin by washing off with water and
soap.
Ø
Never clean the skin with petrol, diesel or other solvents.
Ø Observe the operating instructions of the grease gun used.
