Depth setting
In the field the machine is guided in the depth
by the packer and the drawbar.
The inclination of the machine is determined by
the drawbar.
The depth setting is made with the aluminium
clips on the hydraulic cylinders of packers and
drawbar.
Add clips for lesser working depth.
Remove clips for greater working depth.
Ratio
The ratio of clips for the working depth is
approx.
1:2
If the total thickness of the inserted clips is
changed by 1 cm, the working depth will change
by approx. 2 cm.

Example 1:
To reduce the working depth by approx. 5 cm
5 cm : 2 = 2.5 cm
clips must be placed in addition
(1x yellow, 1x blue).
WARNING
Risk of injury on the hydraulic cylinders!
Limbs may be pinched by unintentional retrac-
tion of the piston rods.

Lock control units mechanically or electrically,
depending on the version.
¾
Make sure when placing or removing clips that
the control units are not operated by any other
person.
¾
Set the
shut-off valve on the drawbar to “Depth
setting”.
¾
Extend the hydraulic cylinders of the
packers.
¾
Add or remove the
same number and col-
our
of clips on all hydraulic cylinders of the
packers.
¾
Retract the hydraulic cylinders of the
packers.
¾
Set the shut-off valve on the drawbar to “Field/
Road”:
¾
Align the machine horizontally when the de-
sired working depth is reached.
¾
Fill up the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder
on the drawbar with clips.
