Check all plug-and-socket connections (hy-
draulic, electric and pneumatic) for cleanli-
ness and firm seating.
Dirty connectors will contaminate the flowing
media. The connectors therefore become
worn and this results in malfunctions and
failures in the connected assembly groups.
1. Clean the towing facilities of machine and
tractor and check for wear.
2. Brake the machine with parking brake and/or
wheel chocks against rolling away.
3. Move the tractor to the machine and set the
brake.
4. Couple the machine.
- Adjust the height of the drawbar by cran-
king the support so that the machine can
be picked up.
- Engage the machine.
- Insert the bolts and secure them.
5. Connect lighting, hydraulic lines and brake
lines.
6. Crank up the support all the way. Position
the bottom plate toward the top and secure it.
Transport position
WARNING
Danger of road accidents caused by losing the
machine or machine parts.
Before driving off:

Clean all thrown up soil off the entire machine.
¾
Check function of lighting system.
¾
Lock the control units mechanically or electri-
cally, depending on the version, during trans-
port travel. Never switch them to the floating
position.
¾
Check all interlocks before starting to drive.
¾
Release the parking brake and check the
service brake (option).
¾
Check whether all securing elements of the
connection are in place and set correctly.
¾
Check components of the connection for wear.
¾
In regard to the drawbar eye or ball and
socket coupling connection, follow the notes
in the
Maintenance overview
chapter.
NOTE
¾
Make sure before driving on public roads that
the machine meets all respective applicable
national road traffic regulations.
Make the following additional adjustments after
connecting:
¾
Retract cutting blade roller.
¾
Fold the machine, see
Folding.
¾
Turn the lock valve to the
Road
position:
