Creasing Units Are Locked

If the creasing units are locked, release the creasing units by following the procedure below.

Open the register transport section cover and check the position of the

jammed sheet.

Set the creasing depth adjusting dials to "1."

Pull the jammed sheets. Be careful not to tear the sheets. If you cannot

pull out the sheets, the creasing units are locked.

Turn the handwheel for 1st

creasing unit clockwise to re-

lease the 1st creasing unit.

Turn the handwheel for 2nd

creasing unit counterclockwise to

release the 2nd creasing unit.

Turn the transport handwheel

counterclockwise to transport the

jammed sheets.

Return the creasing depth adjusting dials to the original positions.

Close the register transport section cover.

When you use thick sheets and the creasing units are locked frequently, see page 72 and set the

creasing depth shallower.
