Detection coverage
Area optics with sneak-by guard:
Lens splitting
22 zones at 5 levels
Opening angle
80° hor., 64° vert.
PIR and MW
range 8 / 11 / 13 / 15 m
(PIR and MW operate automatically with the same range.)
Recommended mounting height
for optimal operating sensitivity.
If the detector is to be mounted higher than 2.5 m, then it should be
mounted with at least 3° vertical tilt down. The adjustable joint may be
necessary.
(see 11.3)
Typical detection coverage with range setting 15 m:
2.5 m
Carry out a walk test for each detector in all cases.

8.3
Monitoring of operating voltage
(only AM detector)
The detector identifies when the foil is covered at a distance of up to
approx. 30 cm. It also identifies if the IR foil of the detector has been
taped or sprayed.
Operating with BUS-1 and BUS-2/SCM 3000 mode the Anti-Mask
function is active only in the "disarmed" state.
Operating with BUS-2/Viewguard mode the Anti-Mask function is
programmable: Active only in the “disarmed” state / always active /
always inactive.
Reaction time: approx. 20 sec., approx. 5 sec. in walk test mode.
The reference value is updated internally so that changes due to
contamination, etc. can be compensated for and the optimum response
threshold is maintained.
(only AM detector)
In a "disarmed” state, the correct PIR-functioning of the detector is
monitored in cycles.
If a malfunction is detected, a corresponding message is transmitted to
the control panel.
The detector is monitored to ensure that the specified minimum value is
observed.
If the minimum value is not reached, a corresponding message is
transmitted to the control panel.

DIP switch function
For installation in accordance with VdS standards, the following
points must be observed:
"High" at 15 m not as per VdS
The Anti-Mask function must be programmed
.
If the covered state is saved, this prevents arming.

user address
(Fig. 7)
The DIP switch S2 (see Fig. 7) is for setting the BUS user address.
The address setting depends whether the detector is operated on BUS-2
or BUS-1.
- Set DIP switch

(No more DIP switch settings are required)
The following parameters can be programmed from the control panel
via the BUS-2 system:
- Range

- Fault/AM
- Fault/cover signal is automatically cleared after
elimination of the fault/cover.
- Fault/cover signal remains saved in the
