COM4 provides

+12v

on pin 9 when enabled.

Do not

connect a serial bar code scanner to COM4 as this may damage the scanner, the Thor VX8 or both.

The COM4 serial connector is an industry-standard RS-232 9-pin “D” connector. The connector and its pin assignments are
shown below.
