Storage
•
Do not store in temperatures below -
20°C or above +50°C or in an atmosphere with a relative humidity above 90%.
•
Store the mask in its original packaging or in a sealed container so that it is protected from sunlight and dust.
Pre-use checks
•
Read the user instructions for the device attached to the mask.
•
Make sure that the mask is not damaged.
Putting the mask on the face
(Figure 2
–
example for conf
iguration with webbing attachment)
•
Place the neck strap on the back of your neck, with the mask lens turned down.
•
Place the chin in the lower part of the mask and pull the harness over your head.
•
Position the centre of the harness as far back on the head as possible and gradually tighten the harness, starting with the lower
straps and then the upper straps. Do not overtighten.
•
With the palm, cover the mask connector, breathe in and hold your breath. The mask should collapse onto face and remain so as
long a
s breath is held. This helps to make sure that an effective seal is achieved. If the mask goes back to its initial position b
efore
you breathe out, adjust the strap again and repeat the test.
Removing the face mask
(example for
configuration with webbing attachment)
•
Push the buckle tabs forward with your thumbs to unfasten the harness.
•
Carefully pull the mask up over your head.
Cleaning instructions
•
Detach the breathing apparatus from the mask connector.
•
Wash the mask with a warm soap solution or the EPI
-US product –
P/N 1779065 aqueous solution of 3%.
Do not use organic
solvents or abrasive products to clean the mask.
•
Rinse the mask thoroughly with clean running water.
•
Wipe the mask dry with a clean lint
-
free cloth and hang it by the neck strap in a well
-
ventilated place away from sunlight.
•
Once the mask is dry, clean the lens with a soft cotton cloth and ALTUSIL.
FREQUENCY OF MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION OPERATIONS
•
Checking or maintenance operations must be carried out by technicians authorised by HONEYWELL RESPIRATORY
SAFETY PRODUCTS, having an inspection bench, special tools and original HONEYWELL RESPIRATORY SAFETY
PRODUCTS parts, as well as the maintenance procedures.
•
Any OPTI-PRO CL3+ mask exposed to strong radiant heat must be inspected. Check all the sensitive components such
as the visor, bottom, fasteners or fastening system, and their securing points, retaining strap etc.
•
Any OPTI-PRO CL3+ mask exposed to a blaze must be replaced.
Perform a monthly inspection of the mask to detect deteriorations, torn straps and faceblanks, split seals and valves. Do not use the
