6.2.1 Installation with AS52-A Connection Set (Fig. 2)
1. Install the pipe fitting into the horizontal or vertical
pipework.
2. Place the seal on the pipe fitting.
3. Assemble the counterpiece to the pipe fitting using
bolts and nuts.
4. Connect the armoured tubes to the counterpiece.
5. Connect the armoured tubes to the water condi-
tioning device.
7. Commissioning
7.1 Flush and Deaerate (Fig. 3)
1. Set the water conditioning device to "Bypass".
2. Open the main water supply.
3. Open the close-by cold water tap and allow the wa-
ter to run.
Impurities and soldering remains are flushed out of
the pipework.
4. Set the water conditioning device to "Service".
Deaerate the water conditioning device.
5. Close the cold water tap.
7.2 Cabinet (Fig. 4)
1. Remove covering cap and salt lid.
The brine tube remains closed.
2. Manually fill water into the cabinet.
The water level should be approx. 3 cm.
3. Fill up the cabinet with a bag of block salt for softe-
ners (according to DIN EN 973).
7.3 Time Setting
1. Connect the mains plug to the power supply.
The power supply has to conduct continuous ope-
rating voltage and should not be connected to a
switch.
2. Set the time via the and buttons.
The clock runs quicker when the and but-
tons are held pressed.
7.4 Determining Water Hardness
1. Set the water conditioning device to "Bypass".
2. Take a water sample at the first draw-off station.
3. Determine the water hardness via a hardness
measuring instrument.
4. Set the water conditioning device to "Service".
7.5 Calculating the Set Value
A value for the water hardness has to be set at the wa-
ter conditioning device and is calculated as follows:
Example 1:
Set value = 28000 : (24-8)
Set value = 1750
Example 2:
Set value = 42000 : (19-5,5)
Set value = 3111
CAUTION!
Make sure the seal is fitted properly!

Observe the colour markings!
CAUTION!
Commissioning has to take place in the follo-
wing order!

Noise development can occur during regenera-
tion due to incomplete deaerating. However,
this will disappear after 2-3 regenerations!

Wait until the brine formation is sufficient
(approx. 15 minutes)!
i
The raw water hardness can be requested from
the responsible waterworks or determined via a
hardness measuring instrument in the main
water supply in front of the water conditioning
device!
