6.4.2 Teaching-in directly to Homematic devices
with brightness threshold
If you would like to connect the motion detector to
one or more devices with a pre-set brightness value
of approximately 10 lux, you must put the devices to
be linked into teach-in mode. To do this, proceed as
follows:
During teach-in, please make sure you maintain
a distance of at least 50 cm between the
devices.
Activate the teach-in mode of your motion detector.

Remove the device from the wall bracket
(A)
and
open the battery compartment
(G)
by turning the
cover
(B)
anti-clockwise.
•
Press and hold down the teach-in button
(F)
of
the motion detector for at least 4 s until the de-
vice LED
(C)
starts to flash red.
•
Press and release the teach-in button of the mo-
tion detector. The device LED flashes orange.
Now put the device that you want to connect to
the motion detector into teach-in mode. For fur-
ther information, please refer to the user manual
of the corresponding device.
•
The device LED lights up green to indicate that
teaching-in has been successful.
•
If the device LED starts flashing red, teach-in
