Maintenance and cleaning
• From inside with the handwheel:
In idle status, the door lock drive is disengaged,
i.e. mechanically separate from the key. By turning the handwheel of the door lock
drive, the lock can be locked or unlocked and the door can also be opened. The door
lock drive must be in idle status (motor not moving).
• From outside with a key:
In this case, a lock cylinder with emergency and hazard
functionality (double cylinder) is required, otherwise a key inserted from inside will
block any actuation of the lock cylinder. The lock can (if a lock cylinder with emer-
gency and hazard functionality is used) be locked or unlocked from outside or the
door can be opened with a key. The door lock drive must be in idle status (motor not
moving) in this case.
Do not tighten the screws that fasten the door lock drive to the base too tight,
since it might jam the drive and make opening from outside difficult.
