Working Table
15.6.1
Adjust working table height (only for GBM25)
To change the height of the work table:
1. Loosen the locking lever the back of the device.
2. Move crank (K) until the work table reaches the desired
height.
3. Finally fix the locking lever again.
15.6.2
Swivel Working Table (only for GBM25)
1.
Loosen the locking lever.
2.
Swivel the table in the desired position.
3.
Fix the locking lever again.

Operation
15.7.1
Clamping the Workpiece
In order to secure the workpiece against unintended movements due to drilling operation, use
appropriate devices like vice or clamping claw.
Put a wooden or plastic plate under the workpiece to avoid drilling into the work table or vice.
Use the drill depth stop if you need the same depth of drilling for multiple holes.
15.7.2
Drilling
W A R N I N G
Crushing hazard! Do not wear work gloves when drilling, but wear tight fitting work
clothes and, if necessary, a hairnet. Never put your hands between drill head and
pinole.
N O T I C E
In terms of drill speed, please take note of the following rule: The larger the drill
diameter and the harder the metal, the lower the speed! Note the drill manufacturer's
details!
The speed is determined by gear lever and rotary direction switch. The cutting speed depends on
the hardness of the drill and the strength of the material to be processed. Common guidelines for
the cutting speed of different materials can be found in so-called material tables for the metal
trade.
Turn the feed shaft counter clockwise to move down the spindle to the workpiece. The spindle is
moved back into its starting position by spring force.
Always start drilling at low rpm and increase rpm slowly. Pay attention to the chip formation and
avoid excessive friction heat.
15.7.3
Coolant
N O T I C E
Use as a coolant a water-soluble, environmentally friendly emulsion, as it is
available from specialist retailers. Make sure that the coolant is reabsorbed,
as well as to ensure environmentally disposal refer to manufacturer's
instructions!
Due to friction heat at the tool cutting edge the tool should be cooled when drilling. This will give
you a better work result and a longer life of the tools.
