13.5.4 Automatic feed
Put the feed / thread lever (7) to the left or right position and the feed engagement lever (25)
into the corresponding. When lever is facing up, longitudinal feed is set. Shows the lever down,
cross feed is selected.
13.5.5 Chuck / faceplate assembly
If you mount the rotary chuck or faceplate want to dismantle or, first make sure that the cam
locks are fixed. To do this, remove the retaining screws and set each button so that the em-
bossed ring is flush with the back of the chuck.
Now mount chuck or faceplate on the spindle head and pull the six cams in order to. If they
are all drawn together, the cam-line should be located on each cam V between the two marks
on the spindle head. If a cam is not entirely within this marker, remove food or faceplate and
adjust the bolt, as shown in the illustration, again. Tighten the retaining screw on each bolt
before each use.
Do not replace food or faceplate between different lathes without checking the correct cam
lock.
13.5.6 Cooling
During rotation, it is very important to cool the workpiece and the tool.
