12.2.2 Transport / unloading the machine
To transport the machine is best suited to a sling with sufficient capacity. Place the belt slip
grip around the machine and make sure that it can not be damaged. Lift the metal lathe care-
fully with the help of a crane or other suitable lifting device on. Is recommended when lifting
with belts to use hooks. Align the belt length so that, when lifting the machine is level and sta-
ble. Avoid the use of slings, as they risk damaging the feed rod or lead screw. Lift the lathe
and carefully place it on the floor. (see 12.1.2)

Also make sure that the location of the weight of the machine can withstand, espe-
cially when positioning the machine, above the ground floor. Check that the belt on
the body of the machine are well secured.
The lifting and transportation of the machine may only be carried out by qualified
personnel carried out with appropriate equipment.
Note that the selected lifting equipment (crane, forklift, sling, etc.) are in perfect
condition.
Also make sure that the location of the weight of the machine can withstand, espe-
cially when installing the machine above the ground floor.
To maneuver the machine in the packaging is also a pallet truck or a forklift can be used.
12.2.3 Cleaning
Remove the anti-corrosion protection and grease before putting the machine through kerosene
(paraffin) or turpentine of all tours and the transmission. Do not use thinner or other strong
solvents. Lubricate all the bright faces of the machine directly after its cleaning. Do not use
heavy oil or grease for the gearbox.
12.2.4 Installation
Place the lathe on a solid surface. A concrete floor is the best foundation for the machine, if
necessary, use a base. Make sure that you have enough space around the machine to optimal-
ly operate and maintain. Adjust the guides exactly a bed, then tighten the foundation bolts
evenly and finally check the stand
