that are not recommended by
Holden may affect your New
Vehicle Voluntary Warranty to the
extent that Holden considers that
the additives affect the
specifications and quality of the
vehicle.
Fuel for Petrol Engines
Use clean, unleaded fuel of at least
91 octane rating. High octane
(premium unleaded) can be used
and will provide slight improvement
in engine power and torque.
Purchasing your fuel from a
reputable fuel retailer may reduce
the risk of purchasing fuel which
contains abnormal fuel properties.

Use of fuel with too low an octane
rating could lead to uncontrolled
combustion and engine damage.
Prohibited Fuels
Fuels containing oxygenates, such
as ethers and ethanol, as well as
reformulated fuels are available in
some cities. If these fuels comply
with the previously described
specification, then they are
acceptable to use. Equivalent
standardised fuels with an ethanol
content of max. 10% by volume may
be used.

Under no circumstances should
you use fuel containing more than
10% ethanol. Use of such fuels
may result in engine malfunction,
starting and operating difficulties,

and materials degradation. These
adverse effects could result in
permanent damage to your
vehicle and the risk of personal
injury. Purchasing your fuel from a
reputable fuel retailer may reduce
the risk of purchasing fuel with

Do not use fuel containing
methanol. It can corrode metal
parts in the fuel system and also
damage plastic and rubber parts.
That damage would not be
covered under the New Vehicle
Voluntary Warranty.
