7.5 Preparation of fruits and vegetables for juice extraction
• Use fresh, slightly unripe fruits and vegetables, as they contain more juice.
• Carefully wash the fruit and vegetables from which juice is to be extracted.
• Remove pits/stones from fruit, if present.
•
Cut fruits and vegetables into pieces that will easily fit into the inlet.
• It is not necessary to peel all fruit. Only thick skin/rind from fruits/vegetables
such as oranges, pineapples or beetroots must be removed. It is also
recommended that the white part of citrus fruit rind be removed, as it has a
bitter taste.
• Apple juice turns brown very quickly. This process can be inhibited by adding
several drops of lemon juice to the apple juice.
7.6 Juice extraction
• Make sure that the appliance has been properly assembled and is protected
with the safety lock.
• Connect the appliance to a power source whose parameters match those
specified on the rating plate on the appliance.
• Insert the prepared vegetables or fruits into the inlet and push them in with the
pusher.
Attention! Before juice extraction, cut fruits and vegetables into pieces
that will fit easily into the inlet.
• After juice extraction is completed, disconnect the appliance from the power
source by removing the plug from the outlet socket.
Attention!
When extracting juice, make sure that the bowl does not overflow. If
that happens, open the juice outlet flap so that the juice can flow down
into the container.
Place the container on a stable, washable surface (as juice or pulp may
be spilled accidentally).
