Attention!
• The device is designed to be used with two AAA 1.5 V batteries.
• The batteries are included in the set.
•
When installing new batteries, observe the markings in the battery
compartment.
• Use the type of batteries recommended for this device: AAA 1.5V .
• Do not dispose of spent batteries with municipal waste. Put them into special
containers for spent batteries.
• Do not recharge batteries not designed for that purpose (non-
rechargeable batteries).
• Do not short-circuit battery terminals.
• Never directly expose batteries to heat sources such as bright sunlight,
radiator or fire.
• Explosion hazard! Batteries must not be dismantled, put into fire
or short-circuited.
• Always remove batteries when you will not be using the device - this will
prevent damage to the device in the event electrolyte leaks out of the batteries.
• Remove spent batteries from the device immediately.
• Electrolyte may leak out of depleted batteries, causing damage to the device.
• If any acid from a battery is spilled on your hands, rinse them with running
water. If any acid gets into your eyes, contact a doctor. The acid contained in
the battery may cause irritation or burns.
• Swallowing a battery may have fatal consequences! Keep batteries
away from children and pets. Seek medical assistance immediately if a
battery is swallowed.
7.2 Jug removal and installation
The scale is composed of a measuring base and a removable jug. To
remove the jug, press and hold the removable jug lock release button
situated under the handle of the measuring base. Next, with the button
depressed, remove the jug from the guides by sliding it up and away from
the measuring base.
