7.3 Preheating .
The preheating process is recommended as it heats components of the appliance
so that their coldness does not impair the taste of coffee.
The pre-heating time is less than 150 seconds. We estimate that the device
is suitable for brewing according to the indicator, green light means that the
temperature is suitable for brewing. If the appliance has cooled down, preheating
is recommended.
1. Make sure the appliance contains a sufficient amount of water (between the
“ MIN “ and “ MAX “ levels), and the water tank is properly installed.
2. Put the steel filter into the portafilter, and then install the portafilter properly in
the appliance by moving it from the “ INSERT ” position to the “ LOCK “ position.
3. Place the dripping tray in the appliance.
4. Connect the appliance to a power source and make sure the steam milk
frother knob is in the minimum position.
5. Press the “ ON/OFF “ button. The power indicator will light up in orange.
6. Make sure the steam frothing / coffee making mode button remains in the
position.
7. Press the coffee brewing button into the position. As soon as water
starts coming out of the basket, stop the appliance immediately by pushing
the coffee brewing button again, so that it returns to the
STOP
position. The
purpose of this operation is to introduce water into circulation within the
appliance.
8. When the ready-to-use indicator starts glowing green, push the coffee
brewing button again to the position.
9. Hot water will start coming out of the appliance. After 20 seconds, stop the
appliance by pushing the coffee brewing button again, so that it returns to
the
STOP
position.
10. The preheating process has been completed. You can now start brewing
coffee.
7.4 Brewing coffee.
Warning! Never turn on the appliance when its tank does not contain water. Make
sure the water reaches a level between the MIN and MAX markings on the water
tank. Remove the portafilter with the basket by turning it clockwise.
1. Remove the portafilter from the appliance by turning it left towards the
“ INSERT ” position.
2. Use the supplied measuring scoop to fill the metal filter with ground coffee.
