33. When the kettle is hot, the lid should be opened and closed carefully.
34. Handle the kettle with extreme caution when there is hot water inside . Never
handle the kettle by anything other than the handle.
35. Do not switch on the kettle when it is empty.
36. To avoid electrocution, never submerge the kettle, the power dock or the power
cord in any liquid.
37. Do not fill the kettle above the MAX level, as it can damage the appliance or make
it work erratically.
38. To keep the kettle working in good order, regularly clean it and remove all residue
and limescale from inside the kettle.
39. Do not pierce the appliance with any sharp tool or object.
Power cord protection
Follow these guidelines to avoid any damage to the appliance and any risk of
electrocution, fire or injury:
• Keep the power cord away from heating appliances.
• Do not put heavy objects on the power cord.
•
Do not attempt to repair or exchange the power cord by yourself. Have all repairs
done by a qualified professional.
• The power plug is used to unplug the appliance from the power mains. Keep the
power plug easily accessible at all times.
• Do not unplug and replug the appliance when it is switched on.
• Do not overload the power outlets by plugging in multi-outlet adapters.
• Unplug the appliance whenever a thunderstorm is coming.
• While plugging or unplugging the power cord, handle the plug securely as shown in
the figure below.

Storing the appliance
Switch off the appliance when not in use. Always wait a few minutes for the appliance
to cool down before putting it away for storage. If you do not use the appliance for
a long time, always unplug it from the power outlet.
