• If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced
by the manufacturer, an authorised service
centre ora qualified person, to avoid hazards.
Strictly follow basic safety precautions while operating the appliance, including the
following:
1. Read the whole User Manual before using the appliance.
2. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
3. Use the kettle to boil water only, i.e. as intended.
4. Before plugging the kettle into a power outlet, check if the voltage rating on the
kettle data plate (displayed both on the kettle and its power dock) match the mains
voltage rating. If the voltage ratings are incompatible, consult the seller and do not
use the kettle in the meantime.
5. Do not switch on the electric kettle if filled above the MAX level or below the MIN
level. If overfilled, the electric kettle might spill some of the boiling water.
6. Do not switch on the electric kettle when it is empty of water.
7. Do not immerse the power cord and/or its plug or the appliance in water or other
liquids, as this may cause electric shock.
8. Do not let the power cord hang over the edges of tables, tops or sinks.
9. Do not use the appliance with extension cords. If you still want to use an
extension cord, this is your sole responsibility. Use only extension cords which are
undamaged, complete with protective earth terminals, and which match the power
ratings of the appliance.
10. Do not let the power cord hang down or touch hot surfaces.
