11. Place the appliance away from other heating kitchen appliances, including stoves,
electric hobs, gas burners, etc.
12. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids! Keep the kettle connecting
port and bottom dry.
13. Warning! Risk of burns! Keep away from the steam coming out of the appliance.
Handle the appliance by its handle only.
14. Do not cover the appliance when switched on or still hot.
15. The appliance is intended for indoor use.
16. Use the appliance on flat, firm and dry surfaces that resist high temperatures.
Warning! Risk of burns! The steam escaping while water is being boiled is very hot
and may cause burns.
17. Be careful when using the appliance.
18. If you transfer this appliance to a new owner, transfer it complete with this
User Manual.
19. Never leave the appliance unattended and always unplug it from the power outlet
when not used or before cleaning.
20. Do not pull or tug on the power cord to unplug the appliance; hold the plug firmly
and pull it out of the power outlet.
21. Fill the appliance with fresh, cold water only.
22. If the outer electrical parts of the kettle and/or the power dock are flooded with
water, dry them completely before plugging into a power outlet.
23. Do not use the appliance if the power cord is damaged or the appliance has been
dropped on the floor.
Warning! Never keep the appliance near water.
24. This appliance is not designed for operation with external power timers or remote
power controls.
25. Retain this manual for future reference, along with the original packaging
(if possible).
26. Switch the kettle off and unplug the power cord from the power outlet before filling,
emptying or cleaning, and whenever the kettle is not in use.
27. To avoid the risk of fire, do not switch on the appliance when explosive or
flammable vapours are present. Likewise, do not put the kettle on or near gas or
electric hobs, or in hot ovens.
28. Do not touch the surface of the kettle when hot. You should only touch the handle
and the lid-opening button.
29. While the kettle is working, do not put your face near the spout, as the rising steam
can be dangerous.
30. Place a heat-resistant pad under the electric kettle if used on a wooden surface, to
avoid damage to the wood.
31. Always keep the lid closed before switching on the appliance, to avoid burns.
32. Opening the lid while the kettle contains boiling water may result in burns.
