Introduction
Designed as an interceptor, the P-38 Lightning also was used for long range escorts and as fighter bomber. The
superior speed and the long range have been very useful features in the second world war. The version of the Flying
Bulls differs from the original type by missing turbo chargers and new aerodynamic styled motor cowls.
Before this P-38 comes to the Flying Bulls, it was used for Reno AirRace by the successful U.S. Pilot Lefty Gardner.
