Software Updates
A bootloader is implemented to facilitate updating of the internal firmware.
Required software tools:
-
STM32CubeProgrammer; can be downloaded from the ST website at
https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubeprog.html
-
a terminal program (like TeraTerm, PUTTY, …)
1.
connect a PC USB port to the USB/COM interface on HA61
2.
open the terminal program and connect to the COM port as shown in the Windows
device manager;
configuration: 115.200 kBd, no parity bit, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit (115200,N,8,1)
3.
check the working connection by entering command $ RID
4.
start the bootloader by entering command $ HVB
5.
disconnect the terminal program from the COM port
6.
open the STM32CubeProgrammer, select "UART", select the appropriate COM port
and "Connect"
7.
on the left hand side select the 2nd green icon from the top, “Erasing and
Programming”.
8.
File Path: browse to the *.HEX file that should be programmed into the HA61 unit
