CAP
ABILITIES
Heating Capability
•
This room air conditioner utiliz
es a heat pump system that absorbs
e
xter
ior heat and br
ings it into a room to be heated.
As the ambient
temper
ature gets lo
w
e
r,
heating capability will also lo
w
e
r.
In such a
situation, the inverter work to increase compressor rpm to keep the
unit
’s heating capability from decreasing.
If the unit
’s heating perf
or-
mance is still unsatisf
actor
y,
other heating appliances should be used
to augment this unit
’s perf
or
mance
.
•
The air conditioner is designed to heat an entire room so that it may take some time before you feel warm.
Timer oper
ation is recommended f
or eff
ectiv
e preheating ahead of the desired time
.
Cooling and Dehumidifying Capabilities
•
If the heat present in a room e
xceeds the unit
’s cooling capacity (f
or e
xample
, if there are man
y people in
the room or other heating appliances are used), the preset room temper
ature ma
y not be reached.
CAUTION
Do not use a sto

the b
uttons are released, the indication of settings will go off in 10 seconds and only the oper

•
Pressing the
b
utton while the unit is in oper
ation will let the protectiv

.
•
Dur
ing heating oper
ation, the indoor unit
’s color indicator lamp ma
y flash with no air emitted f
or a while
.
•
If y

ing heating oper
ation with the
(HI) f

ant to mak
e the unit oper
ation
quieter after the room is heated, use of
(A
UT
O) setting is recommended.
•
With the
(LO
W) setting, the unit
’s cooling capability will lo

.
•
With the
(LO
W) setting, the unit
’s heating capacity will v

ating conditions
.
V
ARIOUS FUNCTIONS
•
When the timer has been prog
rammed, the unit will not oper
ate e
v
en if the set time is reached unless the
unit receiv
es a signal from the remote controller
. Confir
m that timer prog
ramming is complete (beep) and
the
TIMER lamp of the indoor unit lights
.
•
If the
(SLEEP) b
utton is pressed while the ON/OFF timer is prog

•
Dur
ing sleep timer oper
ation, the f

(LO
W) regardless of the preset speed.
The remote
controller displa
y indication will remain unchanged e
