Cleaning the power head
Perform maintenance when suction power is weak or when dirt becomes a concern.
We recommend periodic maintenance (about once a month).
Dust and debris stuck to the safety switch, rotary brush, brushes, wheels, air inlet, and rotating sections
might cause damage to the floor, reductions in suction power, or malfunctions.
CAUTION
Risk of injury
When performing maintenance, remove the power head from the vacuum cleaner.
Remove attached dust
Remove the attached dust by using the crevice nozzle or other tools.

axle using tweezers, etc.
CAUTION
Risk of malfunction or damage to the floor
If dust and debris get tangled in the wheels, the wheels cannot rotate, which might cause mal-
function, wear, or floor damage.
After extended use, the brushes, wheels, and rotary brush might wear down.
Using the power head while they are worn out might damage the floor.
You cannot replace the brushes or wheels by yourself. Please contact a Hitachi authorized
service agent to have the brushes, wheels, and rotary brush replaced as a set.
The rotary brush can be purchased as a replacement part.
(P.E-30)
Do not subject the safety switch to excessive force. Failure to do so might cause damage.
