Before disassembling and reassembling the planer or replacing and sharpening the planer cutter, be sure
to disconnect the plug from the power supply. When disassembling and reassembling the planer, or even
in any other case, be sure to carefully handle the planer in order to prevent the bottom face of the base
from not being flat or parallel. Refer to the instruction manual for how to replace and adjust the planer
cutter.
1. Precautions on disassembly and reassembly

CAUTION: When disassembling the planer, be sure to first remove the planer cutter in order to
protect the tip of the cutter against damage and prevent the user from being injured.
1. Disassembly of the armature, cutter block ass’y and end bracket
Remove the Machine Screw (Black) M4 x 16

and Tip Cover

. Then remove the Brush Cap

and Carbon Brush

. Next, remove the two Tapping Screws (W/Flange) D4 x 12 (Black)

Bearing Cover

. Remove the two Machine Screws (Black) M4 x 16

and Belt Cover

, and then
remove the Belt

. Remove the four Tapping Screws (W/Flange) D4 x 20 (Black)

that secure the
End Bracket

, and then use a wooden hammer to strike the shaft of the
Armature

and the end face of the spindle of the Cutter Block Ass’y

, while using the shaft of a
box spanner wrench to pull out the Armature
