4. Physical description / drawing of product
The Super Saver Bunsen Jet brooder uses a heated ceramic element to direct radiant heat
downward. The brooder uses a continuous flame when operating to heat the ceramic element. The
unit uses a pilotless Hot Surface Ignition (HSI) system to ignite the flame.
All controls are located in the controls enclosure. This is the square box mounted on top of the
brooder canopy. The only user control on the brooder is the ON-OFF switch located on the outside
of the controls enclosure near the gas and power inlets.
5. Use of equipment
This radiant brooder is designed to heat agricultural enclosures. Do not use this equipment to heat
human living quarters.

6.2. Igniter Assembly
1.
For igniter assembly, see Figure 1, then follow these steps.

Insert igniter [1] into igniter bracket [2]. Be sure that the igniter is put in place with
the side with two holes facing downward.
3.
Place igniter retainer [3] onto back side of igniter bracket.
4.
Secure assembly with the two 8-32 X 5/8” screws [4] and 8-32 nuts [13] provided.
