9.1 Repair, Inspection, Cleaning

Customers are not allowed to modify, disassemble,

Calibrations
The calibration period varies depending on the status of the
instrument or installation environment. We recommend that the
calibration period be determined in accordance with the status of
the instrument or installation environment. Please contact your
authorized Hioki distributor or reseller to have your instrument
periodically calibrated.
Precautions for Transportation
When transporting the instrument be sure to observe the following
precautions:
To avoid damage to the instrument, remove the batteries from
the instrument. Moreover, be sure to pack in a double carton.
Damage occurring during transportation is not covered by the
warranty.
When sending the instrument for repair, be sure to include details
of the problem.
Cleaning
To clean the instrument, wipe it gently with a soft cloth moistened
with water or mild detergent. Wipe the LCD gently with a soft, dry
cloth. Never use solvents such as benzene, alcohol, acetone, ether,
ketones, thinners or gasoline, as they can deform and discolor the
instrument.
