Place lit match
WARNING:
Never direct the heat output of this heater toward any propane tank within 20 feet.
OPERATION
1.
Make sure the regulator knob on the heater is “OFF”
by turning knob clockwise to the “OFF” position.
2.
Slowly opening the cylinder valve.
3.
Turn the heater′s “Hi-Med-Lo-Off” regulator knob to
“Med” (counterclockwise).
4.
Place a lit match on the left hand edge of the heater
element inside heat reflector. Then push in valve
button on safety shutoff valve (see below figure).
After the heater is lit, continue to hold valve button
in for 30 seconds, then release the button slowly.
CAUTION: DO NOT PUSH IN VALVE BUTTON BEFORE INSERTING LIT MATCH. NEVER STAND IN FRONT
OF HEATER WHILE LIGHTING.
5.
If burner does not light within 30 seconds, turn the heater′s regulator knob to “OFF” (clockwise) and allow at
least five minutes for gas to dissipate before attempting to relight by repeating the above step.
6.
Adjust heat output by turning knob to desired position.
SHUTDOWN
1.
Turn the regulator knob on the heater to “OFF” (clockwise), then turn off the cylinder valve.
2.
CAUTION: Allow at least 5 minutes for cooling before handling and storing. Detach heater from bulk tank
before handling and storage.
STORAGE & MAINTENANCE
1.
Indoor storage of the heater is permissible. When the heater is to be stored indoors, the connection between
the propane supply cylinder and the heater must be disconnected and the cylinder removed from the heater
and stored in accordance with Standard for the Storage and Handling of Liquefied Petroleum Gases,
ANSI/NFPA 58 and Natural Gas and Propane Installation Code, CSA B149.1. Cylinders must be stored
outdoors out of the reach of children and must not be stored in a building, garage or any other enclosed area.
2.
Detach propane cylinder from heater before storing. DO NOT store propane cylinders indoors or near open
flame to heat.
SERVICE AND REPAIR
1. If you cannot rectify any fault by following these instructions, return the appliance to your local retailer.
2. Never attempt any other maintenance or repair.
3. Never modify the appliance. This may cause the appliance to become unsafe.
