1.3 Working principle
Electronic fence system is usually composed of
energizer
and front-end fence,
which can be linked to closed-circuit CCTV monitoring, Internet transmission,
virtual matrix and integrated monitoring software. The front-end fence contains a
physical barrier and a dedicated electronic fence. The physical barrier can be a
fence, an electrified barbed wire, etc. Its role is to prevent people in the public area
from inadvertently touching the charged fence line. The charged fence line is
made up of

signs and other components. High-voltage
energizer
is not only the basis for the
front-end fence to generate electric high-voltage pulse, but also the core of the
system to output high-voltage pulse for the front-end fence and detect fence alarm
status.
In the cycle of slightly greater than 1s, the system usually generates
5000V-10000V pulsed high voltage with the duration of only about 0.0001s on the
fence line; when invaders touch the adjacent two conductive lines, the pulsed high
voltage can generally penetrate the contacts’ insulated clothing and skin, then invaders
will feel a strong acupuncture-like pain. The maximum energy of pulsed high voltage
generated by qualified system is strictly limited, which will not lead to
life-threatening result to human body. The system's largest energy output indicators
determine the electric shock intensity felt by the contact; feedback of the system is
usually obtained by detecting the pulsed high voltage to achieve the alarm.
