The timing requirements of GPS PPS and GPS Serial Data (NMEA) are shown below:
PPS cycle t3 = 1 s ±50 μs (rising edge to rising edge)
PPS pulse width t1 ≥ 1 ms (10 to 100 ms recommended)
Timing relationship NMEA signal starts after the PPS rising edge of the current second, and ends after the PPS falling edge of the current
second, as shown by the gray arrows in figure above.
NMEA signal ends before the PPS rising edge of the next second; t2 ≥ 100 ms.
