3. General
Function/purpose
This thermometer is suitable for carrying out
quick and contact-free measurements on the
surface temperature of objects. The contact-
free measurement means that the surface
temperature of extremely hot and difficult to
access objects can be measured.
Emissions level
Most organic materials, as well as painted or
oxidised surfaces, have an emissions level
of 0.95. This device is preset with an emis-
sions level of 0.95. This cannot be changed
manually. Deviations may occur in the meas-
urement results when measuring glossy or
polished metal surfaces. To help prevent
this, you can stick a little adhesive tape to
the surface of the area to be measured, for
example (please observe the maximum per-
missible temperature). When the marked
area has reached the same temperature as
the material below, the temperature can be
measured.
