Installation:
This product may only be installed by a qualified specialist electrician.
Before the installation is done, the connection lines to the building must be
switched free from voltage and protected against being switch on again. Take
the appropriate automatic circuit breakers out of the junction box in the
building.
Protection of the outside light with a default current circuit breaker is
recommended when it is being used outdoors.
Make sure that no water can collect at the place where the light is fastened.
The minimum distance to the objects to be illuminated must not be less than 0.5m.
Make sure that the base is suitable to support the weight of the light permanently and reliably.
Hold the light holder in the required installation position and mark the holes to be drilled. Use suitable
screws with a maximum diameter of 6 mm for fastening the light. Make sure that no lines are damaged.
Now connect the connection lines at building installation to the screw terminals of the light . Connect up
the yellow-green ground wire first of all and then the other two lines. The brown (or black) cable is
usually the phase conductor, connect this to the terminal marked with an "L". The blue conductor must
be connected to the terminal marked with an "N".
Do not bend the cable, make sure that the cable and the plug are free from strain and rotational forces.
Protect all cables and insulations from damage which may occur.
Check again for proper connection and close the housing cover again. Make sure that the gasket has
been properly seated.
Push the dowel into the drilled holes and fasten the light holder using screws. Make sure you have a
stable and reliable fastening. Fasten the light housing to the fastening clip. Make sure that you have a
safe and reliable fastening.
Unscrew the light housing by turning in the clockwise direction and install the illuminant. Screw the light
housing back onto the base by turning clockwise. Make sure the fitted seal has a proper seating.
Switch on the circuit breakers of the junction box in the building again.
The name plate must not be removed.
Care and maintenance:
You must make sure that the power supply is disconnected before cleaning.
Use a dry, or slightly damp cloth for cleaning.
Never use chemicals or abrasives for cleaning.
Disposal:
Used electronic equipment must be brought to public connection points and must not be disposed of as
household waste.
Notes for the sensor:
The sensor detects movements in a fan shaped angle of approx. 100° up to a distance of 8 m (see
drawing). The light goes on for a period ca 10s – 2,5min as soon as the light is switched on by the
sensor.
Please observe the following to guarantee the best possible functioning of the sensor:
Set up the PIR sensor so that the rays used for detecting the object are not directed towards the front,
but diagonally (see the example in the drawing). The detection range could be reduced to a distance of
1.5 m otherwise.
The sensor light should be installed at a height of between 1.5m and 2m above the ground.
Do not place the sensor light directly next to trees, street lights or similar items which could affect the
functioning of the sensor.
