Optional Accessories
Use of the electrical junction box provided is required if
using a blower or remote. Plug the cord into a convenient
outlet. An electrician may install an outlet box inside the
fireplace. Place the outlet in the lower, back corner of the
fireplace. Make sure fan doesn’t touch back wall.

Fan Option
This product accepts an optional blower GFK-160A. Instal-
lation of this blower requires 110 VAC power supplied to the

NOT be used when using operable glass doors.
On units already installed removal of decorative front, sur-
round and gas insert is required.
• Detach flexible liner from back of unit.
• Remove the four screws on the coverplate (see Figure 10).
• Bend up the tabs on the base pan (see Figure 9).
• Place the blower in between the bend up tabs.
• Install and wire the blower per instructions shipped with
the fan. Refer to Figure 9 for placement of the temp switch
bracket and mounting stud.
• The ground wire of the fan can clip on the side of the
base pan.
• Attach rubber grommets to cover plate as shown (in-
cluded in manual bag assembly).
• Reinstall the cover plate on the unit. Make sure the fan
does not make contact with the back wall.
