The Tonic decorative front is approved for inside fi t ap-
plications. Non-combustible fi nishing materials up to 4
inches thick can be installed around the Tonic front (left,
right, top, and bottom). The inside fi t method requires an
additional 4 in. of 1/2 in. thick non-combustible building
material (not supplied with fi replace) to be installed on
the left and right sides fl ush with the factory installed non-
combustible board. See Figure 13.15.
WARNING! Risk of Fire! The Martini decorative Front
is not approved for inside fi t installations. DO NOT install
Martini decorative front using an inside fi t application.
Resulting elevated \temperatures may cause overheating
and fi re.
For the Tonic decorative front inside fi t applications, the
decorative front must be installed tightly to the fi nishing
fl anges and must not overlap any fi nish material.
Ensure that no non-combustible fi nish materials are in-
stalled within 3/4 in. of the fi replace opening. The 3/4 in.
spacing is required to provide clearance for removing and
installing the Tonic decorative front. See Figure 13.16.

The Inside Fit application is only approved for the
Tonic decorative front.
