Replace webbing if any signs of wear or damage are present that
resemble the replacement criteria photos.
7. Allow the webbing to slowly retract into the unit – checking the retraction
action is strong and smooth. Sharply tug at the webbing every 1-2 meters,
to cinch down the webbing stack.
8. Complete and file ‘Weekly Inspection Log’ documentation.
9. Return Auto Belay device to service.
10.4.2 WEBBING WEAR
INSPECT WEBBING DAILY
Webbing in your TRUBLUE iQ must be evaluated on a daily basis. A detailed
description of when a webbing should be taken out of service is included in
the Wear Tables below. Webbing MUST be taken out of service by the time
the webbing resembles the stage of wear designated in the Wear Tables,
or after 1.5 years of usage, whichever occurs first. The date of manufacture
of the webbing is located on the webbing tag inside the device near the
shackle. The date of manufacture of the webbing MUST be recorded in
the inspection log. Continued use of webbing with wear at or beyond the
designated stage of wear below could result in serious injury or death.
The structural stitch pattern includes a
sacrificial bumper stitch pattern which
protects the structural bar tack stitches.

stitches. These stitches are allowed to
unravel over time due to impacts with
the Nozzle. Trim any loose threads in this
section. When this section is completely
unraveled over time, the entire webbing
assembly must be replaced.
