8 - Fine setting of ILS / proximity sensors
The adjustment of these sensors must be accurate as it determines the position of the elements.
8.1 - BOOM SENSOR SQ523
Location on machine
Procedure :
• In order to obtain an angular detection [-10°; 8°±1], set the gap at 9 mm (use a shim in order to check it).
• Adjust the first nut in order to obtain a gap of 9 mm between plate and proximity sensor (diameter 30 mm).
• Then fit the second nut and tight it (check that the distance of 9 mm has not been modified when tightening the
second nut
)

• Check if the SQ523 is ON when boom is in stowed position, then lift the boom in order to check that it goes to
OFF before 8
°
.
• Readjust if necessary.
