SETTING THE AUTO-TUNE 
SET POINT

 

  Simultaneously press both the Up-arrow 

S

 and 

the Down-arrow 

T

 keys for approximately 3 

seconds until the Input Menu prompt 

InPt

 appears 

in the upper display and the Setup Menu prompt 

SEt 

appears in the lower display: 

InPt / Set 

 

Press the Up-arrow  

S

 key twice.  

9LbL

 appears 

in the upper display: 

9LbL/ SEt 

 Press 

the 

MODE

 key eleven times.  

AtSP

 will 

appear in the lower display. 

 Use 

the 

Up-arrow 

S

 and/or the Down-arrow 

T

 

keys to set the set point percentage, shown in the 
upper display, to 

90

 Press 

the 

DSPY

 key to return to the main display 

format. 

AUTO-TUNING 

Auto-tuning should be dome when the temperature 

controller is operated for the first time or when the 
accessory or set point is changed.  It is not necessary to 
redo the auto-tuning procedure if the temperature 
controller or heaters have been turned off. 

 

 Use 

the 

Up-arrow 

S

 and/or the Down-arrow 

T

 

keys to select the desired set point temperature.  
The set point is shown in the lower display.  The 
actual temperature measured by the thermocouple 
is shown in the upper display. 

 

Make sure the accessory is at room temperature.  
The upper display should read between 

18

 and 

26

 

degrees C. 

 Press 

the 

MODE

 key twice.  

OFF

 will appear in 

the upper display and 

Aut

 will appear in the lower 

display.   

OFF / Aut 

 Press 

the 

Up-arrow 

S

 key.  

PidA

 will appear in 

the upper display.  

Aut

 will alternate with tune in 

the lower display.   

 

Press display and turn the heater switch on.  The 
set point will alternate with tune in the lower 
display and the actual temperature will appear in 
the upper display.  The auto-tune process takes 
approximately 5 minutes.  At the end of the auto 
tune process, the lower display shows the set 
point and the upper display shows the actual 
temperature, which should be maintained for an 
additional 5 minutes. 

 Press 

the 

DSPY

 key to return to the main display 

format.
