normal operation.
One Menu for Each Text Source
When you enter the User Menu, the active menu is set by the currently selected text
source. So, if you have either black and white or colour scanning selected, the Scanning
menu will be the one that comes up. There are two buttons on the keyboard to access the
Menu structure: F1 and F2. These are the purple keys, located on the middle row, first and
second keys on the left-hand end of the row.
This section describes each menu in detail. Many items will be the same for all menus, but
they are included for completeness.
Scanning as text source
This menu is active when either Black and white or Colour Scanning is in use. Auto-Lektor
will say "Scanner, Black and White Mode, Menu Active" or "Scanner, Colour Mode, Menu
Active". Use F1 to step through the available choices, and F2 to select a particular choice
or activate a function.
Create file name from the first 20 letters of the Buffer.
This option allows you to change the way a saved file is named. When this option is
confirmed using F2, the file name will be created from the first twenty characters of the
Buffer.
Enter file name from external keyboard
Confirming this option with F2 allows you to enter a file name using the external keyboard.
Enable or disable internet text sources
This feature makes it possible to change the list of available sources of text, allowing you
to exclude Internet sources; press F2 to confirm that you wish to do this. If there is no
internet connection available, selecting this option will shorten the list of text sources.
Select this function again to restore the excluded sources.
