Transport Canada reports that according to accident
statistics, children aged 12 and under are safest when
riding in the
REAR
seats, away from front airbags. The
only exception is if airbags are turned off. When using
a booster seat in a vehicle with airbags, refer to the
vehicle owner’s manual for additional booster seat
installation instructions and
precautions.
