13c Inspect ball bearing quantity -
Make sure that all
trolley ball races have the correct number of balls (see chart
below). Do not load trolleys on rails if balls are missing. Do
not use system until missing balls have been replaced.
IMPORTANT! - If transferring trolley assemblies from one
rail to another, be sure to have extra balls on hand.
WARNING! Missing balls weaken trolley.
Trolleys with missing balls can come off rail
resulting in a fall, severe injury, or death. Do
not use trolleys if balls are missing.
13d Replace missing or damaged ball bearings -
Use
only Harken replacement 10 mm (3/8") Torlon
®
balls. To
replace lost or damaged ball bearings, position trolley
assembly on edge with retaining clip in place. Do not
remove retaining clip. Gently push one ball at a time into
trolley from center of clip. Allow balls to roll into return
race and insert remaining balls. Do not overfill. Each
trolley must have 72 ball bearings!

13f Inspect rail attaching fasteners -
Check for
loosening, damage, or corrosion that may affect strength.
13g Failed inspection -
If inspection reveals an unsafe or defective condition, remove item from service and
destroy it. If in doubt, please contact manufacturer for further advice.
13e Inspect pinstop -
Check for spring degradation,
cracks or wear that may affect locking strength and
operation.
