Never use steel wool or scouring powder on any parts of the Food Slicer.
Using these products will scratch your Food Slicer.

The blade is extremely sharp.  Be extremely careful when cleaning or changing
the blade.  Use cut-resistant gloves when handling the blade  Caution:  The
blade will continue to rotate after the power is turned off.  You must unplug
the electric cord and wait for the Blade (22) to stop turning before making
adjustments, maintenance, or storage.

Clean the Food Slicer properly and allow it to completely dry before using.

Do not try to slice through bones, frozen foods, hard foods or any non-food
items.  Make sure any meat to be sliced is totally free from bones, tying
wire, or any foreign objects and is totally thawed.

People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before

using this product.  Electromagnetic fields in close proximity to a heart pace-
maker could cause interference to or failure of the pacemaker.

Warning!  To reduce the risk of health hazards:  Before assembling the Food Slicer,
thoroughly clean and wipe off all parts with a clean rag using warm soapy water and a
mild anti-bacterial detergent.  In addition, the following parts should be cleaned in a
dishwasher:  Food Pusher (7), Blade (22), Blade Catch (24), Blade Bracket (20), and
the Food Tray (6).  Allow the unit to dry fully before use.

After assembling the unit (see directions on page 10), test the Food Slicer by running
several slices of day-old bread through the Food Slicer to ensure that all parts are
working properly.  Clean the Food Slicer after every use.  Failure to follow all of the
cleaning instructions and warnings may result in serious illness due to food
poisoning.
