Always switch the toaster
off and pull the mains plug
out of the socket when you
are not using it, when you
intend to clean it, or in the
event of a fault.

Do not place any fl amma-
ble or easily ignited objects
on top of the toaster while
it is in use.
■
Empty the crumb collection
tray regularly to reduce the
risk of fi re.
■
Do not insert objects into
the toasting slots.
■
If a slice of bread becomes
trapped in the toasting slot,
unplug the mains plug, al-
low the toaster to cool and
then remove the trapped
slice of bread. Do not use a
knife or other pointed met-
al object to do so, as this
can damage the heating el-
ements.

The toaster becomes hot dur-
ing use. The metal parts in
particular remain hot even
after the appliance has been
turned off.

Do not touch any of the
metal parts or the toasting
attachment.

Use the lift function to re-
move the slices of toast
to avoid touching the hot
toasting slots.

Acrylamides e.g. in blackened
or burnt pieces of bread may
cause cancer.

Toast bread until it is pale or
golden brown rather than
letting it become too dark.
Remove burnt parts of the
toast.
