Selecting a function
FUNKTION
Use the function switch (2) to select the de-
sired function (heating method).
Defrosting
A fan distributes air at the ambient tempera-
ture evenly throughout the cooking chamber
so that frozen food is thawed gently.
Top heat with grill function
For cooking poultry, skewers etc.
Insert the dripping pan at the lowest insert
level. This will catch dripping fat and keep
the interior of the appliance clean. It is also
recommended to fill the dripping pan halfway
with water. The rising steam makes grilled
food particularly tender.
Top heat with convection
For casserole dishes and gratin dishes, as
well as for grilling steaks, sausages, rolled
roasting joints, chicken etc. and for gratinat-
ing.
It is recommended to fill half of the dripping
pan with water and place it on the lowest in-
sert level. This will catch dripping fat and keep
the interior of the appliance clean. The rising
steam makes grilled food particularly tender.
Cooking with bottom heat
Everything that needs a crispy base, e.g.
tarte flambée, pizza or french fries.
It is recommended to use the “top/bottom
heat” function first and then switch to the
“bottom heat” function only for the last 5-10
minutes.
Bottom heat with convection
The classic pizza function, but which is also
good for tarte flambée or french fries.
It is recommended to use the “top/bottom
heat” function first and then switch to the “bot-
tom heat with convection” function only for the
last 5-10 minutes. A fan distributes the heated
air evenly throughout the cooking chamber.
Top/bottom heat with grill function
For grilling poultry, skewers etc. when the
heat should be distributed evenly from above
and below.
Insert the dripping pan at the lowest insert
level. This will catch dripping fat and keep the
interior of the appliance clean.
Top/bottom heat with convection
Especially suitable for baking cakes, cheese-
cakes, sponge cake, muffins or waffles, as
well as for casseroles, roasts, game and fish.
