Cleaning the hob
Sugary or starchy food waste,
plastics or aluminium foil
NOTICE
Sugary or starchy food waste, as well as
plastics or aluminium foil residue can
cause permanent and irreparable dam-
age to the hob.
• Remove such contaminants from the hot
glass ceramic immediately using a stand-
ard sharp scraper. While doing so protect
hands from burns with oven gloves or pot
holders.
• Once the hob has cooled down, you can
remove stubborn dirt by using a specially
made, commercially available detergent.
• Treat the hob with a special care product
after cleaning.
Something has boiled over on the
sensors
1. Switch the hob off.
2. Wipe the material that has boiled over us-
ing a soft rag.
3. Wipe the sensor surface with a damp
cloth and then dry completely with a pa-
per towel.
4. Switch the hob back on.
If the sensors are dirty, e.g. if something
has boiled over, the hob can turn itself
off. You will hear a signal tone. If the
sensors are dirty or damp, they may not work.
