Troubleshooting table
Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean
there is a defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the table to see if you
can correct the malfunction.

Risk of electric shock in case of improper repair!
Never try to repair a defective appliance yourself. You can put your own and future
users’ lives in danger. Only authorised specialists are allowed to carry out this repair
work.

Possible solutions/tips
The appliance is not
working.
Safety circuit active
• Fold the machine arm (1) down.
• Set the control dial to “0” and then to the desired setting.
The maximum operating time has been exceeded. Allow the appli-
ance to cool down to room temperature for 30 minutes.
The power supply has been interrupted.
• Insert the mains plug correctly into the socket.
• The fuse for your flat/house has blown; reset the fuse.
The appliance produces
odours.
• When using for the first time, odours may occur. The odours are
harmless and will disperse soon. They are caused by care prod-
ucts used to protect the metal parts.
Ensure that the room is well-ventilated during first use.
