Making tea
WARNING
Risk of scalding!
If the water tank is overfi lled
or the lid is open, hot water
may spurt out when boiling
the liquid. This may cause
scalding.

Do not fi ll the water tank
past the MAX mark.
■
Ensure that the lid is closed
during operation.
Risk of burns!
The appliance will become
very hot during operation.
Touching the hot appliance
and the tea strainer may lead
to burns.

Only touch the appliance
by the handle.
■
Only touch the tea strainer
after it has been allowed to
cool.
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the
appliance may result in dam-
age.

Never use the kettle with-
out water.
■
Fill the water tank at least
to the MIN mark and no
further than the MAX
mark.
After switching off , it takes
15–20 seconds before the
kettle is ready for use
again.
1. Connect the mains plug to a
properly installed and easily
accessible socket.
2. Fill the water tank (11) with
fresh, cold tap water. Pay
close attention to the fill level
indicator (7).
Fill to a minimum of 0.5 litres
and a maximum of 1.0 litres.
