Quick freezing and Quick
refrigerating

The appliance lets you select the lowest re-
frigerating and/or freezing temperature in a
quick and easy way via the ‘Quick freezing’
and ‘Quick refrigerating’ settings.

After 26 hours of “Quick freezing” and after
2.5 hours of “Quick refrigerating”, the appli-
ance automatically switches back to normal
mode. You can also end “Quick freezing” and
“Quick refrigerating” manually.

Select the ‘Quick freezing’ mode QUICK FRZ
(19) to pre-chill the freezer before storing food
there or to freeze fresh food.

1. Press the MODE button (33) repeatedly

until the QUICK FRZ symbol appears
on the display. The signal (18) indicates
the temperature setting −24 °C for the
freezer compartment.

2. Once the temperature in the freezer is

−18 °C (check with a fridge/freezer ther-
mometer), you can store the frozen food
in the freezer.

3. If the freezer temperature is -22° C, you

can store fresh foods. The temperature in
the freezer rises temporarily.

4. After 24 hours, the goods are frozen to

the core. Press the MODE selection but-
ton enough times until the QUICK FRZ

symbol disappears from the display.

“Quick freezing” is switched off.

Select the ‘Quick refrigerating’ mode QUICK
REF (20) when you want to cool a can more
quickly in the refrigerator, for example.

1. Press the MODE button (33) repeatedly

until the QUICK REF symbol appears
on the display. The signal (21) indicates
the temperature setting 2 °C for the fridge
compartment.

2. As soon as the contents of the refrigera-

tor compartment have cooled sufficiently,
press the MODE selection button enough
times until the QUICK REF symbol dis-

appears from the display.
“Quick refrigerating” is switched off.

Quick freezing and Quick refrigerating
at the same time

You can set “Quick freezing” and “Quick re-
frigerating” at the same time.

• Press the MODE button (33) repeatedly

until the QUICK FRZ and QUICK REF

symbols appear on the display.

• To turn off “Quick refrigerating” and “Quick

freezing”, press MODE selection button
enough times until the QUICK FRZ and
QUICK REF symbols disappear from
the display.
