If you have granite worktops:
1. Remove the internal side cover caps
and screw the appliance to the adjacent
kitchen cupboards using the countersunk
head screws (42).
2. Cover the countersunk screws again with
the cover caps (40) supplied.
For all other worktops:
• Screw the mounting bracket (41) to the
worktop using the countersunk head
screws (43).

In order to determine the water hardness in
your place of residence, you can
– look on the website of your water provider.
– telephone your water supplier.
– purchase suitable test strips at the phar-
macy.

• Determine the relevant setting from the
table above.
Adjusting the water hardness
Do not allow more than 1 minute to elapse
between the following steps, otherwise the
setting process will be interrupted.

1. Switch on the appliance with the
button (1).
2. Press and hold the button (2) for more
than 5 seconds to open the selection
menu for setting the water hardness.
3. Press the button as often as required
until the setting required is displayed. The
sequence is H1 to H6.
4. Press the button to save the selected
hardness level.
